Sprague Dawley rats were exposed to UWB (0.25 - 2.5 GHz) (PW - 7-8 nanosecond pulsed width, 60 Hz pulse repetition rate) MW for 2 minutes at a peak power density of 1.7 x 10e6 W/cm2. Exposure did not effect a functional observational battery of analysis (aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase, creatine kinase, amylase, electrolyte concentrations, and osmolarity - shown previously to be indicators of MW induced stress), performance in a swimming test, blood chemistry, or c-fos expression in the brain. |
