900 MHz (GSM) exposure to chicken eggs and analysis of viability |
Details |
|
Chicken eggs were examined for viability following exposure to a mobile phone placed above them in an incubation chamber (at 2 Watts radiating power). There was a 6 fold increase in mortality due to GSM exposure; control mortality was 11.9% (range 10.9-16%) and RF exposed mortality was 72.3% (range 57.6-100%). A related poster was presented by the same group (P-17A) marketing of an antenna shield. This study was an extension of a report of decreased viability due to VDU exposure (Bioelectro-magnetics (1997) 18:514-523). |

Comments |
|
The extreme mortality, plus the marketing of an antenna shield in a neighboring next poster by the same group (P-17A), make the data suspicious. |
