ID Number 9
Study Type In Vivo
Model 835.62 MHz (FM), 847.74 MHz (CDMA) exposure to rats and analysis of cancer and pathology (2-year bioassay)
Details

Fisher 344 rats were exposed to 835.62 MHz (CW) FDMA or 847.74 MHz (CDMA) over a two year period in a carrousel irradiator. In the FM study, a total of 480 rats (160/group [80 males, 80 females]) were exposed 4 hours/day, 5 days/week, for 2 years at 1.3 W/kg (brain SAR). In the CDMA study, rats were exposed as above at ~0.7 W/kg (brain SAR). There was no effect of either RF signal on body weight or survival. Histopathological analysis of brain, CNS, and multiple other tissues did not show any increased tumor formation.
