400, 900 MHz (CW, Tetra, GSM) exposure to volunteers and analysis of cardiovascular function |
Details |
|
Human volunteers (n=120) were exposed to 400 MHz (CW & Tetra) and 900 MHz (CW & GSM) and monitored for blood pressure, cardiac rhythm, and serum catechol levels. The authors reported a very small significant decrease in BP (0.7 mmHg, 95% CI 0.3-1.2 mmHg, P = .04) with GSM exposure, but attributed this to heating caused by the handset battery. They conclude no effects of RF exposure on elevating blood pressure or heart rate. |
