ID Number 85
Study Type In Vivo
Model GSM exposure (900 and 1800 MHz) to rats and analysis of behavior, gene response and brain biochemistry.
Details

Sprague Dawley rats (n=48) were exposed to 900 MHz (GSM) RF for 45 minutes at 1 or 3.5 W/kg using a head only exposure system (loop antenna) and a restraining device. Exposure took place immediately before conditioning or testing. Testing included a classic radial arm maze with a food reward as well as a dry-land spatial navigation task (intended to be less stressful than the water maze test). In later studies (Behav. Brain Res 2003, 145:51-61) these studies were extended to include more complex spatial learning tasks and a non-spatial learning task. The authors reported no effect of any exposure on test performance.
