900, 1800 MHz (CW, CDMA) mobile phone use in Korea and correlation with cancer |
Details |
|
Human cancer incidence from the medical insurance, national death record, and cancer registration databases were used in a preliminary study to assess correlations between cancer and cell phone use. The investigators found no association with brain or breast cancer, but a clear statistical correlation with thyroid cancer. However, the authors report this research as preliminary and showing no clear cause-effect relationship. Additional epidemiological studies with more control of confounding factors and a larger statistical sample are necessary. |
