ID Number 829
Study Type Human / Provocation
Model 900, 1800 MHz (GSM) exposure to volunteers and analysis of nitric oxide levels
Details

Human volunteers (n=10) were exposed to 900 & 1800 MHz (GSM) cell phone emissions. Volunteer were instructed to use the phones for 45 minutes/day for 4 weeks under normal user conditions. During the first 2 weeks the phones were unprotected. During the second 2 weeks the phones had a Technoshield placed on them. At the end of each 2 week exposure period, NO levels were measured from exhaled air using a UF-chemiluminescence NO analyzer. The authors report NO concentrations were increased during the first 2 week expsoure period (without the protective Technoshield device) but were reduced to normal levels in the presence of the Technoshield device.
