900 MHz (GSM) exposure to rats and analysis of histological changes in the brain by electron microscopy |
Details |
|
Wistar rats were exposed to 900 MHz (GSM) for 2 hrs/day for 10 - 30 days at a whole body SAR of ~ 0.42 W/kg. Following exposure, cranial dura mater was isolated and examined using electron microscopy and image analysis. The authors report that exposure increased the periodicity of collagen fibrils in young animals sacrificed 1 day after exposure, although differences between older exposed vs. control animals were not statistically significant. |
