ID Number 783
Study Type In Vivo
Model 2450 MHz (CW) exposure to rabbits and monkeys and analysis of eye pathology
Details

Monkeys were exposed to 2450 MHz (CW) at power densities of 15.9 to 43 mW/cm2 without anesthesia. No effects on corneal endothelial abnormalities were observed. In studies with rabbits, acute effects were found to be reversible

  • Comments

The authors comment that their results are in direct conflict with reports of corneal endothelial damage at 30 mW/cm2 reported by Kues et al (Bioelectromagnetics 1985, 6:177-188), and that this might have been a result of the PW exposures or anesthesia used by Kues.
