2450 MHz (WiFi) transmitter exposure to medical devices and analysis of electromagnetic interference |
Details |
|
Medical Devices were tested using 2450 MHz LANaccess point transmitter operating at 500 milliwatts using the ANSI C63.18 ad hoc test protocol. Some EMI was observed in a physiological monitor, an ultrasound device, and an infusion pump. The authors suggest appropriate EMC characterization, management, and minimal seperation distances when employing hospilat 2.4 GHz LAN systems. |
