800, 900 MHz (CDMA, GSM) mobile phone exposure to medical devices and analysis of electromagnetic interference |
Details |
|
Medical Devices were tested using 800, 900 MHz (CDMA, GSM) cell phone signals operating at full power by placing them in an off network test mode and using the ANSI C63.18 ad hoc test protocol. Some device EMI was observed, although many of the reported effects did not appear to be critical. Neither the GSM nor the CDMA phone could be identified as causing a larger or more significant amount of interference - different interference effects were observed for the different signal types. |
