2450 MHz (CW) exposure to mice and analysis of tumor progression |
Details |
|
CFW mice (pregnant dams) were exposed to 2450 MHz (CW) MW for 20 min/day at an SAR or 35 W/kg
during gestation days 11-14. Sixteen days after birth, mice were implanted with a lymphoreticular cell sarcoma. On day 19, mice were again exposed for 36 days as above. Fetal exposure resulted in retarded tumor growth, although the final tumor incidence at 4 months was approximately the same as the sham exposed group. Both MW exposed tumor-bearing and tumor-free animals lived longer, and the authors speculate that this might be the result of augmentation of immunocompetency. |
