815 & 835 MHz (FMCW, iDEN, CDMA, TDMA) exposure to Molt-4 and C3H 10T1/2 cells and analysis of DNA breaks |
Details |
|
Molt-4 (T-lymphoblastoid) and C3H 10T1/2 mouse fibroblasts cells were exposed to 815 (iDEN), 835.62 MHz (CDMA), 847.74 MHz (FM), or 835 MHz (TDMA) signals for 2, 3, or 21 hours in a TEM cell at high (2.4-3 W/kg) and low (24 uW/kg) dose and analyzed for DNA breaks by the Olive alkaline comet assay. Apoptosis was also analyzed via annexin V affinity assay. No effects could be attributed to RF exposure.

Comments |
|
Replication of Phillips et al (#44; Bioelectrochem & Bioenerget (1998) 45:103-110). The high level of variability associated with the assay was suggested by the investigators to possibly be responsible for the original observations of Phillips et al. |
