Model 27 MHz (CW) exposure at high SAR to HeLa and CHO cells and analysis of stress response

HeLa and CHO (Chinese hamster ovary) cells were exposed to 27 MHz (CW) MW in a coaxial line exposure system (Guy et al Radio Sci, 1977, 12:87-96) or 2,450-MHz (CW) MW in a waveguide (Galvin et al, Radiat Environ Biophys, 1980, 18:129-136; Liu and Cleary, Bioelectromagnetics, 1988, 9:249-257) for 2 hr at an SAR of 25 W/kg under isothermal conditions. Exposure did not effect the production or profile of 35-S-labeled stress proteins.
