Model 2450 MHz (CW, PW) exposure to chick heart cells and analysis of beat pattern
Details

Leghorn chicken heart cells were exposed to 2450 MHz (CW and PW) MW at SARs between 1-87 W/kg. While exposure at 42-87 W/kg decreased interbeat interval consistent with increased temperature, exposure at 1.2-12.2 W/kg decreased initial interbeat interval more than would be predicted based upon temperature change, and later increased interbeat interval in a manner opposite to the expected effects of temperature. The authors conclude factors other than MW increases in temperature were involved in the observed effects.
