2450 MHz (CW, PW) exposure to chick heart cells and analysis of beat pattern |
Details |
|
Leghorn chicken heart cells were exposed to 2450 MHz (CW and PW) MW at SARs between 1-87 W/kg. While exposure at 42-87 W/kg decreased interbeat interval consistent with increased temperature, exposure at 1.2-12.2 W/kg decreased initial interbeat interval more than would be predicted based upon temperature change, and later increased interbeat interval in a manner opposite to the expected effects of temperature. The authors conclude factors other than MW increases in temperature were involved in the observed effects. |
