Details		Rat synaptosomal membranes were exposed to 450 MHz (CW or AM at 16 Hz) RF for 0, 5, or 15 minutes at field strengths of 0, 0.1, or 0.75 mmW/cm2. The authors report that Ca++ efflux was affected by exposure to 16 Hz modulated RF at a lower field strength than with unmodulated RF. Further, changes in Ca++ pumps and cAMP-adenylate cyclase were involved in this RF induced mechanism of Ca++ efflux.
