2450 MHz (CW) exposure to rats and analysis of blood brain barrier permeability |
Details |
|
Sprague Dawley rats were exposed to thermal levels of 2450 MHz (CW) microwaves which elevated core body temperature to 40, 42, or 45 degrees. After exposure, animals were injected with horseradish peroxidase. Blood brain barrier integrity was compromised (evidenced by leakage of HRP enzyme) after 10 min at 45 C, 15 min at 42 C, or 60 min at 40 C. |
