2450 MHz (CW) exposure of rats and analysis of blood brain barrier permeability
Details
Sprague Dawley rats were anesthitized and injected with to [14C]-mannitol or [14C]-sucrose and exposed to 2450 MHz (CW) microwaves for 30 minutes at SARs of > 1.6 W/kg in the far field of an anechoic chamber. Exposure did not effect blood brain barrier permeability as measured by amount of radioactive tracer in the brain.
