Model 2375 MHz (CW) exposure to rats and rabbits and analysis of EEG and behavior
Details

Rats and rabbits were exposed to 2375 MHz (CW) microwaves 7 hrs/day for 30 days at 10, 50, 500 mW/cm2 using specially constructed absorbant chambers. Exposure at 10 & 50 mW/cm2 stimulated brain activity while exposure at 500 mW/cm2 suppressed brain activity (as seen from the increase of slow, high amplitude delta-waves). Also at 500 mW/cm2, a decrease in capacity of work and unconditioned feeding stimulus, investigating activity, electronic irradiation threshold, and inhibition of cellular and humoral immunity was observed.
