Model 9.4 GHz (AM and PW) exposure to Balb/C mice and analysis of immune parameters
Details

Balb/C mice were exposed to 9.4 GHz microwaves (PW 1 usec pulses, 1000 pulses/sec with & without AM) for 10 hr/day for 5 days at an SAR of 0.015 W/kg (whole body average). Exposure to AM at 14, 21, 32, 36, and 41 MHz decreased, and exposure to CW or AM at 19, 22, 23, 28, 32.3, or 33 MHz had no effect on, cytotoxicity in a SRBC assay. Exposure to CW or AM 21 Hz increased, and exposure to AM at 14, 23, 28, 31, and 41 MHz decreased, IgM titers. Exposure to AM 32 MHz increased, and exposure to AM at 28, 36, and 41 MHz decreased, IgG titers. The authors conclude that AM modulation of a PW 9.4 GHz carrier can affect antibody responses both positively and negatively depending on specific frequency.
