2450 MHz (PW) exposure to mouse leukemia cells and analysis of mutation |
Details |
|
Mouse leukemic cells (L5178Y) were exposed to 2450 MHz (PW) for 4 hours at up to 40.8 W/kg, either alone or in the presence of mitomycin C or proflavin, at a constant 37 +/- 0.2 degrees. Additional RF heating studies (with temperatures allowed to increase to 39-40 degrees C) were also performed. Following exposure, cells were analyzed for the thymidine kinase (TK) activity using a forward mutation assay. The authors reported no significant effects of RF on TK activity either alone or in combination with mitomycin C or proflavin. |
