2450 MHz (CW) exposure to CHO cells and analysis of chromosome aberrations and DNA damage |
Details |
|
Chinese hamster cells (CHO-K1 subline) were exposed to 2450 MHz (CW) for 30 minutes at between 0 (sham) and 200 mW/cm2 (constant hypothermic temp of 29 degrees or hyperthermic temp of 49 degrees) and analyzed for cytological parameters (nuclear vacuoles, pycnic and decondensed chromosomes, and chromosome breaks). Exposure at 29 degrees had no effect, while exposure under elevated temperature conditions caused significant chromosome breakage and aberrations. |
