2450 MHz exposure to mice and rats and analysis of brain cell DNA damage |
Details |
|
Sprague Dawley rats were exposed to 2450 MHz PW RF at 2.1 W/kg for 2 hours. Rat brain cells were analyzed via comet assay immediately after exposure or after a 4 hour recovery period. This study addressed previous reports by Lai & Singh (Int J Radiat Biol (1996) 69(4):513-521; Bioelectromagnetics (1995) 16(3):207-210). The investigators did not observe any effects of 2450 MHz PW RF exposure on DNA single strand breaks. |
