2450 MHz (CW) exposure to cell lines and analysis of growth and viability |
Details |
|
HL60 human myeloid leukemia and BL70 Burkitt lymphoma cells were exposed to 2450 MHz for 24 hours in a GTEM cell at 1.1 W/kg. Sham exposure, and exposures +/- TPA were performed to look for effects of RF alone or in synergy with a known inducer of proliferation and thymidine kinase (TK) activity. Cell proliferation was measured by determining cell doubling time (from cell counts) and calculating generation time. Intracellular TK activity was determined through RIA. No effects of RF exposure, alone or in combination with TPA, were observed. |
