Wistar rats (n = 60) were exposed to 30 MHz EMF at field strengths of 0, 25, 100, 400 and 1600 V/m for 8 hours/day for 5 days and evaluated following exposure for parameters of the estrus cycle and serum hormone levels. The authors report no significant difference in weight or morphology of the ovaries, although there was a decrease in the overall time of the estrous cycle and estrogen level and an increase in lutinizing hormone level and immature follicles with the higher level exposures. |
