Mobile phone use by residents of Israel and correlation with abnormal saliva secretions from the parotid gland. |
Details |
|
Volunteers (n = 50) that were moderate to heavy mobile phone users were stimulated to produce saliva from the right or left parotid gland. The authors report saliva from the side associated with mobile phone use for each individual volunteer had a higher secretion rate and lower total protein concentration. The authors suggest continual RF exposure to the parotid gland may be a health hazard. |
