915 MHz (FM) exposure to rats and analysis of brain tumors (RG2 glioma cell line injection bioassay). |
Details |
|
Fischer 344 rats (n=72) were injected with RG2 glioma cells and exposed in a TEM cell to 915 MHz CW (1.67 W/kg) or modulated 915 MHz at 4 (0.0077 W/kg), 8 (0.016 W/kg), 16 (0.030 W/kg), 50 (1.0 W/kg) or 217 Hz (0.4 W/kg) in 0.57 millisecond pulses for 7 hr/day, 5 days/week for 2-3 weeks. Tumor cell injections of RG2 glioma cells were performed stereotaxically into the right caudate nucleus in the brain. Exposures began on day 5 after inoculation. No effect of CW or modulated RF exposure on tumor promotion was observed. |
