ID Number 2199
Study Type Human / Provocation
Model Grounding of human subjects and analysis of various physiologic parameters
Details

Human subjects (n = 28) were evaluated for physiologic parameters before and after grounding using a reclining chair and either grounded or un-grounded for 2 hours. The authors report an immediate decrease in skin conductance and an immediate increase with ungrounding. Grounding also initially increased and then decreased respiratory rate and decreased blood oxygenation. Pulse rate and perfusion index also increased toward the end of the grounding session, and this change persisted after ungrounding.
