50 Hz ELF exposure to Xenopus Laevis tadpoles and analysis of teratogenicity and development |
Details |
|
Xenopus laevis laevis (Daudin) tadpoles were exposed starting from fertilization to ~60 days of age to 50 Hz ELF at a magnetic field density between 63.9 and 76.4 microT. The authors report an increase in the time of development of the limbs and mean metamorphosis period (by 2.4 days) in exposed tadpoles vs. sham exposed. There was no increase in mortality, malformations or teratogenic effects with exposure.
