Automobile drivers (n = 96) in Illinois evaluated for driving while simultaneously using a mobile phone. The authors report mobile phone use impairs driving ability, and conversely driving can impair language production, comprehension, and memory processes. In addition, ability as a pedestrian to cross busy roads, etc, was also diminished.
