Model		50 Hz (ELF) exposure to human platelets and analysis of oxidative stress
Details		Human blood platelets were exposed to 50 Hz (ELF) at 10 milliT for 15 minutes using different signal shapes and analyzed for oxidative stress. The authors report increased free radical formation (via malondialdehyde assay) and increased catalase levels regardless of the shape of the magnetic field. The authors suggest such exposures may produce adverse effects within cells and pose a health risk.
