900 MHz exposure to pregnant mice and analysis of bone development |
Details |
|
Balb/c mice were exposed to 900 MHz (GSM) for 2 hr/day at at 0.41-0.98 W/kg whole body average and evaluated for performance in a Morris water maze (hippocampal-dependent spatial memory task). The authors report a decrease in performance (transferring spatial information across training days leading to an increased escape latency and distance swam) with exposure. Further, exposed animals did not remember the prior test escape quadrant, indicating a deficit in consolidation and/or retrieval of learned spatial information. |
