Details		Transgenic SOD1 rats (carrying an abnormal human superoxide dismutase gene resulting in faulty breakdown of free radicals and resulting cellular and DNA damage) were exposed to 50 Hz ELF at 100 or 1000 microT for 7 weeks and analyzed for disease progression (transgenic model of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ALS). The authors report no change in body weight, motor performance, or life span.
