60 Hz (ELF)0 exposure to planaria and analysis of regenerative ability |
Details |
|
Planaria (Dugesia dorotocethala) were transected (head-to-tail to study regeneration ability) and exposed to 60 Hz (ELF) at 8 uT for 1 hr, 2x per day for 15 days. The authors report exposure increased regenerative ability of heads and especially tails. The regenerating head and tail sections also had increased hsp70 protein levels, ERK phosphorylation, and SRF-SRE binding activity that the authors indicate are linked to repair processes. |
