2375 MHz (CW) exposure to rats and analysis of teratologic and immunologic endpoints (France-Russia replication study) |
Details |
|
Wistar rats (n = 48) were exposed to 2375 MHz (CW) for 7 hrs/day, 30 days in cages within an anechoic chamber in an attempt to replicate prior reports from Russian and Ukranian literature published from 1974-1986. Whole body SAR was estimated at 0.16 +/- 0.4 W/kg and brain average SAR 0.16 +/- 0.9 W/kg. SAR in the spleen and the lymph were 0.28 ± 0.12 and 0.32 ± 0.27 W/kg, respectively. The authors report no effect on body weight, pregnancy, lactation, or developmental abnormalities in offspring. There was also no observed effect on immunoglobulin levels or many other sera antigens and molecules.
