1321N1 human astrocytoma cells were exposed to 9.6 GHz (90% AM, PW 100-120 ns, PRF 100-800 Hz) for 15, 30, or 60 minutes at an SAR of 0.0004 W/kg in a GTEM cell and analyzed for proliferation and gene expression. The authors report increased cell proliferation and connexin 43 protein, with no effect on cytoskeleton proteins, cell morphology, viability, or hsp-70 and Bcl-2 antiapoptotic protein expression
