ELF exposure of cells in culture (primary human lymphocytes and human glioblastoma cells) and analysis of apoptosis, gene expression and cytotoxicity. |
Details |
|
Human primary lymphocytes were exposed to static magnetic fields at 6 milliT and analyzed for apoptosis as well as expression of genes involved in the apoptotic process. The authors report a protective effect of exposure on apoptosis (spontaneous and drug-induced), especially in aged lymphocytes that were more susceptible to apoptosis. The authors also report increased bax and p53 and decreased hsp70 and bcl-2 expression as well as other changes in a gene-, age- and time-dependent manner. |
