50 Hz exposure to isolated brain slices and analysis of signaling |
Details |
|
Cortical and hippocampal slices from rat brains were exposed to a 50 Hz ELF field for 1 hr at either 250 or 500 microT in glass dishes using 2 ring-shaped solenoids. The authors report transient decreased amplitude of spikes in the hippocampus in response to a depolarizing stimulus and transient increased seizure susceptibility in cortical slices with exposure. |
