50 Hz exposure to rat brain synaptosomes and analysis of membrane permeability and mitochondrial function |
Details |
|
Isolated synaptosomes from Sprague Dawley rat brains were exposed to 50 Hz square wave ELF for 2 hrs at 2 milliT and assessed for mitochondrial respiration, ATP production, membrane potential, Ca2+ concentration, and release of free iron and F2-isoprostanes. The authors report no significant effect other than slowly decreasing Ca2+ concentration with no associated membrane depolarization. |
