Model 900 MHz (GSM, CW) exposure to leukemia cell lines and analysis of oxidative stress
Details

Jurkat T-cell leukemia cells (stimulated and unstimulated) were exposed to 900 MHz (GSM) for for 5, 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes at 0.5 or 2.0 W/kg using a waveguide system housed inside a cell culture incubator. Incubation with FeSO(4) (a known ROS inducer) was used as a positive control. The authors report no apparent increase of reactive oxygen species or decrease in viability due to RF exposure alone or in combination with FeSO(4).
