Sprague Dawley rats (n = 48) were exposed to 900 or 1800 MHz (CW) for 30 minutes/day, for 28 days. The authors report exposures decreased bone breaking force, bending strength, and total fracture energy but the effect was partially reversed by co-administration of the anti-oxidant CAPE (caffeic acid phenethyl ester, found in honeybee wax and claimed as an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogen, anti-viral, and immunomodulatory agent and a common folk medicine ingredient in the Middle East). |
