50 Hz (ELF) exposure to lens epithelial cells and evaluation of DNA damage |
| Details |
|
Human lens epithelial cells (hLECs) were exposed to 50 Hz (ELF) at 0.4 mT for 2, 6, 12, 24, or 48 hrs and analyzed for DNA double strand breaks (4-nitroquinoline-1-oxide was used as a positive control). The authors report significantly increased DNA damage at 24 and 48 hrs of exposure. |
