THz exposure to chicken skin and analysis of reflectivity due to degree of hydration |
Details |
|
Chicken skin samples (hydrated and non-hydrated samples) were exposed to THz frequencies and analyzed for reflectivity using a THz scanner instrument. The authors report an 8.7 fold difference in reflectivity between hydrated and dehydrated specimens confirming that water concentration is a primary contrast mechanism in THz biomedical imaging reflectivity. |
