900, 1800, 2000 MHz (GSM, UMTS) mobile phone use and base station exposure and correlation with sleep disorders |
Details |
|
Volunteers (n = 1212) were questioned regarding sleep quality and correlations were made with residential exposure from base stations and other sources using a predictive model plus field measurements. The authors report no consistent evidence that RF exposures had an effect on sleep quality, although there was a trend in the high-mobile-phone- and cordless-phone-use groups to report daytime sleepiness. No differences were found between EHS and non-EHS subjects. |
