50 Hz (ELF) exposure to cardiac cells (cardiospheres) and analysis of gene expression |
Details |
|
Cardiac cells (grown from biopsies of human myocardia) were exposed to 50 Hz (ELF) (also the ion cyclotron energy resonance of Ca++) for 5 days. The authors report significant increases in the expression of various cardiac markers. The authors suggest ELF exposure may be able to drive cardiac-specific differentiation in adult cardiac progenitor cells without pharmacological or genetic manipulation. |
