Articles (n = 1042) from 17 major newspapers in Germany on mobile phones and health that were published over the period of 2002-2007 were compliled and evaluated for content. The authors report no significant change in number of articles, even though the number of scientific publications regarding mobile phones and health effects doubled. The authors conclude that there was a decrease in senstationalized reports with unspecified endpoints, and an increased focus on brain tumors and other specified health effects and scientific discussion. |
