Balb/c mice were exposed to either 4.4 or 16.5 Hz ELF fields (modulated at 0.5 Hz) at magnetic field levels ranging from 0.5 to 500 nanoT using coaxially arranged helmholtz coils, and in the presence of a constant static field of 42 microT. The authors report that exposure increased survival time of mice injected with tumor cells with certain frequency and power windows for maximal effect. |
