900 MHz (GSM) mobile phone use and correlation with acute and chronic leukemia in Thailand |
Details |
|
Leukemia patients (n = 180 including AML, ALL, CML, and CLL) at the Siriraj Hospital in Thailand were evaluated by personal interview for exposure to various residential and occupational exposures, including mobile phone use (duration of use, number and length of calls per day). Regarding mobile phone use, the authors report no overall association, although increased odds ratios were observed for high risk use (OR = 1.8; 95% CI = 1.1-3.2) and GSM specific plus high risk use (OR = 3.0; 95% CI = 1.4-6.4). |
