Model 100 GHz / 0.1 THz exposure to primary human lymphocytes and analysis of protein activity

Soluble and immobilized calf alkaline phosphatase was exposed in solution, either prior or during incubation with the substrate p-nitrophenylphosphate, to 100 GHz (0.1 THz) for 1 hour at 2.4 W/kg. The authors report exposures resulted in measureable deacreases in enzyme activity. In a similar experiment, the authors reported no effect of exposure as above on antibody antigen complexes in solution.
