ID Number 1898
Study Type In Vivo
Model 800 MHz, 2 GHz (CDMA, WCDMA) exposure to rats and analysis of reactive oxygen and ant-oxidant enzymes
Details

Rats were exposed to CDMA, WCDMA, or CDMA + WCDMA in combination and evaluated for intracellular levels of reactive oxygen species, antioxidant enzymes, and senescence-associated galactosidase activity. Intracellular levels of ROS, antioxidant enzymes (catalase, Mn superoxide dismutase SOD, Cu/Zn SOD, peroxiredoxin), and cellular morphology was not affected by either single or combined RF radiation exposure (ANOVA p>0.05). In contrast, dramatic changes were induced in these parameters with ionizing radiation - used as a positive contorl in these studies.
